1930s Shanghai, the enigmatic Marlize receives an antique vanity from her sister-in-law as a birthday gift. However, her sister-in-law had tragically taken her own life years prior, having been the victim of Marlize's calculated vengeance. Fast forward to 1990s Singapore, attorney Xin defends a wealthy family with a heavy price tag attached.
