1949, Shanghai teemed with tumultuous events. Amidst this chaos, Kang-year (Deng Haiguang) and Min (Wong Hong) serendipitously crossed paths and plunged into a torrent of love. Yet, their journey was marked by twists and turns before they could meet again, vowing never to part ways. Sadly, Kang was soon subjected to persecution by his jealous brother, Kong Xuan (Chen Jinhong), leading him to imprisonment. Upon his release, Kang and Min seemed to have been reincarnated in different worlds. A rare opportunity arose for Min to study music in America. To spare her the burden of his own fate, Kang urged Min to proceed with her journey, while he took up a soldier's life elsewhere. Unfortunately, Min learned the truth only after it was too late. Years passed, and Kang suddenly resurfaced, drawn into the turbulent whirlpool of the Cultural Revolution. This triggered a fierce clash of loyalty, resentment, and unrequited love.
