《九彩霸王花》是一个独特的田园喜剧，发生于新界偏远村庄杨老围。 fourth generation matriarch, Yu Mei Jun (Suzanne Czebotar), shares a peaceful life with her husband, children and grandchildren. However, their tranquility is shattered when all the men of the family, serving in law enforcement, are killed in action. The women are left to fend for themselves, but due to their traditional mindsets and conservative behavior, they struggle to adapt to modern society. This leads to a series of humorous yet relatable situations... The lowest ranked daughter-in-law, Guk Eng (Shirley Yeung), is diligent and sincere. After joining the police force, she develops a subtle affection for her colleague, Iron Blood Investigator Lee Si Kei (Roger Kwok). On the other hand, Yang family's simple-minded sister, Yang Ba Mei (Charmaine Sheh), creates much amusement as she roams around town recklessly. However, her antics concern her long-time admirer, environmentalist Wang Chai Ming (Michael Tse)... The flamboyant Aunt Qui Fei Mei (Lau Siu Mee) displays a bold personality and is known for her charms. She butts heads with rugged policeman Li Jian Hei (Alex Fong). Their rivalry leads to misunderstandings, but they eventually reveal their true feelings... Meanwhile, the delicate second aunt, Pon Chun Lan (Katy Kung), develops feelings for the owner of a hot pot restaurant, Gin Tai Long (Lawrence Ng), due to their daily interactions. The women grapple with the tension between holding onto tradition and embracing modernity. However, Mei Jun is aware of everything that transpires... At this point, the notorious gang returns, seeking revenge on Si Kei for his brother's death. Guk Eng finds herself in grave danger as she gets caught up in a series of life-threatening situations...
