Meanwhile, Xiang Yu (江华饰) was plotting a rebellion, and to lure the notorious Barbarian chieftain Engobi, he single-handedly infiltrated the Qin army, slaying their leader, Zhao Chansheng. Eventually, Engobi surrendered to him.

Initially intending to eliminate him, Liu Bang instead showed him deep respect, lamenting the tyranny of the Qin dynasty that had brought misery to the people. Moved by his words, Xiang Yu agreed to join forces with him against the cruel ruler. Thus, they formed an unlikely alliance, and Liu Bang even won the heart of Plum Dove (吕雉) in marriage, who vowed to aid him in his grand endeavor.
When the first Qin Emperor fell ill and passed away, usurper Zhao Gao propped up a successor, the decadent second Qin Emperor. The chaos that ensued led to a struggle for power among warlords. Xiang Yu seized the moment and successfully launched his rebellion, ultimately overthrowing the Qin dynasty!
