Situated in the heart of the martial arts world, the venerable Shaolin Temple faces the wrath of the Qing Dynasty's ambitious quest for unification. To eradicate this potent force, the government infiltrates the temple, causing chaos and destruction.
In the ashes of the temple's ruins, Master Hong Xiang Guan and Method Xi Shu Yu receive a dying wish - to rebuild Shaolin. On their journey, they encounter their former mentor, Hu Hui Qian, who orchestrates a deadly plot to avenge the fallen Shaolin disciples. Unfortunately, they fail, and Method Xi Shu Yu is gravely wounded by a rival.
Lured by her beauty, Emperor Qian Long takes Method Xi Shu Yu as his empress, but tragedy strikes when she gives birth to their son. Fearing doom for the imperial family, she is brutally murdered, and the blame is laid on Method Xi Shu Yu.
Grieving, Method Xi Shu Yu plots revenge against the emperor, but ultimately meets a tragic end. Meanwhile, Hu Hui Qian seeks to restore Shaolin, living in seclusion before returning to exact his vengeance. He fathers a child, named Yun Er (Film Defined), who is later taken under the care of Master Hong Xiang Guan. The Hu family reunites, and Yun Er grows under the watchful eye of his adoptive father.
Years pass, and Master Hong Xiang Guan takes Yun Er to a renowned monkey boxing school in Guangzhou, revealing his lineage. Under the tutelage of the master, Yun Er trains tirelessly. Together, they defeat the villainous Hu Hui Qian and his allies, restoring honor to the emperor.
Eventually, Emperor Qian Long permits Master Hong Xiang Guan's request to rebuild Shaolin. The legendary tiger-crane fists of Shaolin are refined by Master Hong Xiang Guan into a simpler style known as the Hong Fist, and Yun Er carries on his grandfather's legacy.
Twelve years later, Master Hong Xiang Guan and Yun Er return to the rebuilt Shaolin Temple, where they defeat their enemies once and for all, restoring peace to the martial arts world. The power of the tiger-crane fists is passed down through the generations, ensuring that the legacy of Hu Hui Qian lives on in Yun Er, now known as Master Hong Filim Defined.
