《搞定大叔》:在危机中找到自我价值
Range Jianqiang (interpreted by Xu Rong), a second-tier national consultant, runs a modest psychological clinic and earns a meager 4,000 yuan per month. He lives without a house or car, but his girlfriend Su Xia (portrayed by Lin Eng) is a glamorous flight attendant. The Mid-Autumn Festival is their prearranged day to visit Su Xia's parents, after wrapping up an emergency session with a falling patient (Ren Long). Driving a friend's car borrowed from Wu Fengdan (Gu Mingxi), they journey from Shanghai to Suzhou, the city where Su Xia's parents reside. Upon arriving at Su Xia's house, Range Jianqiang is astounded by the grandeur of the mansion and even more so when he discovers that Su Xia's father, the esteemed economics professor Su Buhu (played by Xu Shaoxiong), is none other than one of his patients.
With a reputation for valuing status, Su Buhu doubts Range Jianqiang's professional integrity and fears that his secret past may be exposed by the psychologist, leading to ruin. Consequently, he does everything in his power to get Range Jianqiang out of the house. Unprepared for Su Buhu's cunning schemes, Range Jianqiang finds himself unable to deceive him with the answers to his prepared questions. Instead, he is left with no choice but to be honest.
With their vastly different backgrounds, the two clash repeatedly, with witty comebacks aplenty. Can the struggling Range Jianqiang win over Su Buhu's approval, ultimately proving himself worthy in this challenging family dynamic?
