一 summer's day scorching hot and dry, much like the past few years. A forest fire rages uncontrollably. Four young souls meet at a holiday villa near Alnwick Castle. Gradually, they find themselves enclosed by walls of flames, as if wrapped in a red sky's embrace. Suspicion fills their hearts, fear creeps into their veins – not from the fire, but from the love that dares to plunge them into its depths: "Who will perish in the river of love ……!" They grow closer, they thirst for each other, they fall in love. Yet, the flames draw ever nearer, relentless and unforgiving.
