五年前，一 wave of mysterious disease ravaged a village, prompting nearby villagers to burn down the entire Big Grave Village in an attempt to contain its spread. Survivors from the village, including Inui Shinobu (Kishio Tekusen) and Kurogane Sousuke (Yano Akira), were granted protection by the Church and miraculously spared. After this traumatic event, they discovered they had acquired unusual abilities. When word of their powers reached the Church, they kidnapped a third villager, Hinata (Nagasawa Masami), to learn more. Determined to save Hinata, Shinobu and Sousuke embark on a journey to the capital, where they encounter a being possessed by a Wolf God. This fateful encounter sets in motion an epic adventure filled with wonder, danger, and romance that will forever change their lives.
Based on the manga series by Miyuki Abiko, this film adaptation is still ongoing. Abiko's other renowned works include "Wistaria Grave" and "Super Lovers."
