巾帼妙冤家： wealthy yet arrogant Abigail (Madonna) and her hapless husband Tony (Bruce Greenwood), embark on a Mediterranean cruise in search of marital bliss. Yet, the beautiful Abigail finds little delight in the world around her, even discounting her husband's efforts.
To win over Abigail, Tony plans an exotic voyage on a luxurious liner, sailing from Greece to Italy. Despite her concerns, Abigail reluctantly sets sail, only to cross paths with the rough-around-the-edges Guiseppe (Adriano Giannini) aboard ship. Abigail scoffs at Giuseppe's boorishness and vulgarity, taking every opportunity to publicly ridicule him. In turn, Giuseppe detests Abigail's haughtiness, but suppresses his disdain.
However, when the ship is stranded on a remote island during a ferocious storm, Abigail and Giuseppe find themselves in a precarious predicament. Stranded in this desolate and dangerous location, their initial enmity gives way to an unlikely alliance, as they navigate the uncharted waters of survival together.
