在九一八事变后,上海药材商人的子孙项彬礼奔走于暗地之中,为抵抗日军做出贡献。 随着二二八事变引发的混乱,项家遭受了重创。 Projecting himself as a member of the anti-Japanese resistance forces, Project plunged deeper into the struggle against the occupying forces. However, his superiors eventually surrendered, forcing him to defect to the Communist-led Anti-Japanese United Army. The authorities in Shanghai then sent him back to establish an underground transportation network and supply resources and medicines for the armed resistance.
As the Sino-Japanese war escalated, Project joined the New Fourth Army's Second Detachment, which later became known as the "Jiang Resistance Force," or "Jiang Anti-Japanese Base" in Central China. Through guerrilla tactics, they launched night raids on the Japanese garrison at Zhaozhuang Relay Station.
The skilled military strategist, Shan Kuo, was dispatched from Shanghai to quell the Jiang Resistance Force as the commander of the Wujiang Garrison. A fierce battle ensued between the two parties on various fronts, with both sides recording victories and defeats.
After enduring a grueling two-year campaign, the Jiang Resistance Force returned to their base in Central China following the Yunan-Nan events. The New Fourth Army reorganized them as an independent unit within Central China, with Project assuming command as the leader of this new unit. They continued their relentless fight against the Japanese occupation forces to thwart the "Cleansed Villages" and "Farmed Fields" plans designed by the oppressors.
Finally, they emerged victorious in 1945, heralding the end of the war and eventual liberation from Japanese tyranny.
