未来时空之中，犬流感的虐Destructive Outbreak leads Mayor ( voiced by Toshiyuki Nishida ) to enact the Dog Disposal Law, sending every canine species in the city to a desolate island, known as "Trash Island", to fend for themselves. Among them is Point (portrayed by Liev Schreiber), the family guard dog of the mayor. Suddenly, the Mayor's ward Arthur (voiced by Koyu Rankin) arrives on the island in a plane, searching for his lifelong friend Point. Five stray dogs - The Leader (Bryan Cranston), The King (Edward Norton), The Boss (Bill Murray), The Duke (Jeff Goldblum), and The King of England (Bob Balaban) - are the main inhabitants of this island, often seen roaming together. Arthur's arrival sets off an unexpected series of events as he attempts to reunite with Point, bringing hope to the abandoned canines and possibly changing their destiny forever.
