To control population, governments imposed strict limits on childbirth, allowing only one birth per family. John (Christopher Lambert), once a special forces operative, lost his child in an accident, causing his wife, Kaylyn (Loryn Locklin), to conceive again. Determined to bring their unborn child into the world, they embarked on a dangerous escape journey.
At the border, John was apprehended and confined in a subterranean prison. Guards implanted a device called "ZED-10" inside his body to monitor his every move, even his thoughts and dreams. Through a fortunate turn of events, John discovered a way to remove the device and decided to flee the underground fortress with Kaylyn and their soon-to-be born child.
