1960-70s Hong Kong, where corruption and the underworld reigned, marked the heyday of Chen Hua (played by Liu Qingyun), the legendary "Taibai" leader, along with his brothers-in-arms, Lok ( portrayed by Lin Jiaru) and Ma Zei (portrayed by Zhang Jin).
Chen Hua was revered as one of the thirteen Taipo at Tucifengshan. His reputation soared, but a dark secret cast a long shadow over him - his involvement in illicit drug trafficking led to an attempt on his life by a ruthless triad. Fortunately, with the help of Harley ( portrayed by Gutianle), the charismatic leader of an anti-drug task force, Chen Hua escaped death and lived to see another day. However, his freedom was short-lived as the long arm of the law eventually caught up with him.
Upon his release from prison, Chen Hua faced a double blow - the loss of his father and the disappearance of his beloved Xian (portrayed by Jiang Yiyan). Ridden with guilt, he vowed to make amends for his past mistakes and embarked on a new journey towards redemption. He threw himself into anti-drug campaigns for youths, earning recognition as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons.
Not only did Chen Hua manage to reform his former associates Lok and Ma Zei, but he also became a respected figure in both the underworld and mainstream society by frequently intervening in feuds on the triad. His actions earned him immense respect and admiration from all quarters.
On a trip to Japan for an anti-drug lecture, Chen Hua crossed paths with Xian once again. With his heart filled with love, he hoped to reignite their lost connection, but could he disarm the explosive emotions that threatened to tear them apart? This gripping tale of redemption, love, and loyalty will leave you on the edge of your seat.
