The Eight Nations Alliance planned to use their gigantic fighting lions to challenge the Qing Dynasty, and Yellow Crane intended to join forces with General Guo Er to safeguard the nation. However, due to another misunderstanding, Lianguan (portrayed by Mu Shao Ku) once again caused trouble, which forced him to seek help from Ghost Leg Seven (portrayed by Xiong Xin Xin) and others, including a newspaper editor named Fourteen (portrayed by Wang Jing Yong). Ironically, Yellow Crane also arrived at the newsroom, only to be entangled in an incident involving the brutal murder of foreigners under the red lantern district. He bravely saved lives, but was captured and tortured by German soldiers alongside Red Lantern Master Miao Sanrong (portrayed by Wang Bing Hua).
