Losing his family, including ex-police officer Jerick (portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger), and his security team, he hires them to protect himself. However, a priest risks his life to assassinate the devil, unsuccessfully. Before his death, he warns Jerick.
Jerick, along with his companions, follow the priest's clues and find Christine (played by Robin Tunney), who is destined to be the vessel for tze demon. If the devil can establish a relationship with her on New Year's Eve, it will mean the end of the world. Determined to protect humanity at all costs, Jerick embarks on a mission to prevent this catastrophe.
