1930年代的香港，市場陷入動搖，黑暗 lurking around every corner. Wealthy tycoon Hu Lao Tou ( portrayed by 林子祥 ) seeks the help of private investigator Ee Yim (你) to probe into his wife, Hu Tai Tai, as he finds her behavior suspicious lately. After a thorough investigation, it is revealed that the villainous Father Cardona ( played by 麦嘉 ) has been manipulating Hu Taai for the purpose of stealing Hu Lao Tou's valuable stocks. This cunning scheme is thwarted by Ee Yim, but not without consequence as he finds himself hunted down by Cardona and his associates. In his final moments, Ee Yim uncovers a shocking truth: Hu Lao Tou was never the Hong Kong tycoon he claimed to be, but merely a swindler looking to fleece Cardona and other criminals. With the help of friend Detective Long Li Bing ( portrayed by 泰迪•罗宾 ), Ee Yim decides to turn the tables on Hu Lao Tou and bring him to justice. A game of cat and mouse ensues, with both sides playing a dangerous dance of deception and manipulation. Will justice prevail in this city of shadows?
