1940s, within the Nationalist-controlled Beijing. Our underground faction, "Red Pine Group," led by Tuo Gan (portrayed by Wu Ke), receives a covert message from higher-ups to secure crucial intelligence from Military Intelligence Officer Zou Zi ( portrayed by Li Lin). Upon his arrival in the city, Zou initiates a citywide manhunt, resulting in several of our underground operatives being captured. Determined, Tuo Gan uses his gold trading business as a cover to approach Zong Xin, the deputy chief of staff ( portrayed by Zhang Jueguang), under the guise of making a deal with Zou Zi. However, the cunning Zou manages to elude them, and they begin plotting to search for our secret communications hub, using false information to distract our forces. Ai Yongbang (portrayed by Chen Ruoxin), aware that the military strategies are not in their hands, devises a clever plan to take over the strategy-making process. But his scheme is soon suspected. To sabotage our underground organization, Zou Zi frequently disseminates false intelligence reports, leading our operatives into traps. Despite the maze-like confusion, our underground workers maintain clear minds, continuously sending accurate information back to headquarters......© Douban
