遭遇父亲tragic death, young Roman nobleman Lucius Pompeius (Thomas Sangster) is left captive on the island of Capri by his enemies. On his dying breath, father Figure Olystes (Iain Glen) entrusts him and the fate of the Roman Empire to General Aurelius (Colin Firth). Loyal to the Emperor, Aurelius teams up with the brave Numidian Marcus Attilius (Nonso Anozie) and seasoned commander Arbacrus Novus (Ben Kingsley), forming an elite group willing to risk all for a daring rescue mission. The fearless female warrior Marya (Aishwarya Rai) joins their ranks, leading them on their journey towards Capri Island. Simultaneously, Lucius and his mentor continue their struggle for survival, clinging to the last vestiges of hope.
