在喧闹的农家里，母鸡们像机器一样按点进食、按点下蛋，充满了无忧无虑的囚徒生活。尽管绝大多数同伴已经习惯这种生命，但小母鸡叶芽（文素利 配音）却深深地 yearn for freedom， dreaming of hatching her own little ones outside the confines of the chicken coop. To achieve this, she embarks on a three-day hunger strike, determined to feign death and escape. However, the hunger proves too much for her and she collapses, waking up later to find herself discarded into the wilderness. The realization of her dream fills her with joy, but rejection from her coop companions and the relentless pursuit of a cunning fox (崔岷植 配音) in the unfamiliar wild pose new threats. Under his cold-hearted protector's watchful eye, Leafy concentrates on hatching an egg she found. Soon, a cute duckling hatches...
This film is based on the beloved children's book "Leafy, the Mother Hen who Escaped from the Yard" (by Yang Sangmi) which sold over a million copies in Korea.
