在《高瞻日报》副总编辑钟国柱（岳华 饰）与食评大名鼎鼎的家庭生活中，正常不易。Clock, 具有高贵之气的职业人士, 却一直追求回家每晚享受美味饭菜, 与其在职场上发挥作为辛苦奔波的工作狂的面貌相矮小。Clock 还是一个重视家庭观念的人, 他的弟兄 Clock Kui (欧锦棠 饰) 因意外事故而对Clock 持怨心。Clock 寄予期望于留学加拿大的孤身徒步在这个孤山上的大儿子 Clock Shen (陈智燕 饰), 希望他能成为龙之一。然而 Clock Shen 的梦想是成为一名甜品师。
In Hong Kong, celebrity chef Zhou Bei Er (田蕊妮 饰) is on a quest for perfection in her culinary creations. Clock Shen takes up the challenge to become Zhou's assistant as he strives to improve his cooking skills. Meanwhile, Shu Gui Sen (马海伦 饰), who serves as Clock's mother-in-law, is worried about her daughter Clock Si Ya (龚嘉欣 饰) and Clock Shen's relationship.
The clock family represents a typical traditional Chinese household, with contrasting beliefs and values that create tension within the family. The subdued and reserved nature of its members further complicates the already strained relationships among them, making it difficult for love to blossom.
